Frequently Asked Questions

When required, tyres need to be changed for the safety of the driver and any passengers in the vehicle. It is UK law that any tyre with a tread depth less than 1.6mm must be changed. However, if your tyre has any visible damage such as; cuts, bulges, splits etc, then your tyre must also be changed immediately.

If your vehicle pulls to the left or right, this could be due to a number of issues. Firstly, if your tyre pressure is too low this problem can occur, so get your vehicle to a pressure pump and inflate them to the correct pressure. If tyre pressure is not the issue the problem could indicate that your car requires wheel alignment. If your vehicle is suffering from this issue, give our garage a call and we will help to diagnose the problem.

In order for your tyres to be legally roadworthy, they must have a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm across the central three quarters of the tread. If your tread depth is less than this, book your car into our tyre centre today and we will supply and fit your car with affordable new or part worn tyres.

It is recommended that you check your tyres once a month and before every long journey. By checking your tyres regularly you reduce the risk of an accident occurring due to a damaged tyre.

Every make and model of car will have a different recommended tyre pressure depending on the size and weight of the vehicle. You can find the recommended tyre pressure in the vehicle manufacturers handbook.

Winter tyres are designed to give better grip during colder months. At temperatures of 7 degrees or below, winter tyres offer much safer handling and braking than conventional tyres.
